South Shore Hospital | Tile Flooring

South Shore Hospital was originally opened in 1922 as Weymouth Hospital in Massachusetts, USA. Since then the facility has expanded considerably and now includes a Main Facility, as well as multiple specialist centers, a hospice center, clinical research center and more.

Cannon Design and South Shore Hospital Interior Designer, Lisa Nisbet, recently updated both the Weymouth and Hingham facilities. Chilewich Plynyl® wall to wall and tile flooring were selected for 35,000 sq. ft. of space, including patient reception areas, offices, conference rooms, hallways and physical therapy areas.
The Hospital has been extremely pleased with the product since installation, listing benefits such ease of care, noise-reduction in comparison to other flooring and general aesthetic appearance.

All Chilewich flooring is Green Label Plus™ certified by the Carpet and Rug Institute, which is recognized by the U.S. Green Building Council. Therefore, all Chilewich flooring earns LEED points.

Chilewich flooring also contains Microban® to inhibit the growth of stain- and odor-causing bacteria, mold and mildew, which is especially pertinent at medical facilities.
